Yes it is allowed, but music accompaniment is not a judging criterion for the Vocal Categories.

A Minus-One CD is a play-along music CD that contains only the accompaniment to the song without the singer's voice. It is available at all major music outlets.

You can choose to sing without music, i.e. 清唱. However we wish to inform you that it will be to your disadvantage as judges will have more difficulty judging your tempo.

Yes you can. However, each contestant can participant in each category only once, except for Original Composition category where multiple entries are accepted.

The closing date is 30 November 2008 5 December 2008 for Vocal Categories,
15 December for Street Dance and 20 December 2008 for Original Composition.

Auditions will be held at Red Dot Traffic Building, 28 Maxwell Road. The nearest MRT station is Tanjong Pagar.

This is optional, but if you wish to, you can bring your own instrument(s) to the auditions. Take note that no instruments will be provided.

You may seek help from your friend(s) to sing the song for you. In the event that your entry is chosen, a live performance had to be given during the Grand Finals.

I'm afraid not, due to the limited time slots allocated each day.
Our Liaison Officers will contact you 2 weeks prior the start of our auditions to fix an appointment. If you cannot make it on the allocated time slot, do call our liaison officers and they will try to allocate another time slot for you.

You can request for a change in the audition date only if we happen to hold our auditions on that requested day.

For all Categories: Identification Card/Student Pass/Driving License, and registration fees.
For Vocal Categories: Your music accompaniment.
For Street Dance Category: Dance costumes.

Due to time constraint, you might not be able to complete the entire song. An official will notify you when to stop.

For Vocal Categories, judges are music instructors from Ocean Butterflies Music Forest.
For Original Composition Category, judges are music instructors from Touch Music Publishing.
For Street Dance Category, judges are dance instructors from Studio Wu.

Yes, you can. However, you are not allowed to submit the same compositions.

Although this is possible, we would discourage you to do so. Should the need arises, please contact our liaison officers immediately.

Results of the auditions, latest, will be announced 2 weeks from the end of all auditions. Due to the large number of participating contestants, we regret to inform you that only contestants who had successfully entered the semi-finals, will be notified by phone and/or email. For the other contestants, an email will be sent to notify you of the results.
