Q:Who can take part in Impresario?
A:Any aspiring vocalists, dancers and composers between 16 and 35 as of 31 December 2009 who are not bounded to any professional organization related to the entertainment industry.
Q:What are the categories for competition?
A:We have four categories open this year, namely Vocal Solo, Vocal Duet/Group, Street Dance, and Original Composition.
Q:How to I register for Impresario 2010?
A:Simply register online at www.cacimpresario.com/Registration/ from 7 Oct onwards.

Q:How do I make payment upon registration?
A:You will receive an email notification from us informing you of the bank account to pay to: POSB Savings 248-2-22859. After making payment, you can inform our liaison officer, after which you will receive another email notification confirming your payment.
Q:Can I sing in any languages?
A:No. All songs must be sung in English or Chinese.
Q:Can I choose to sing with instrumental accompaniment?
A:Yes, instruments are allowed but instruments used are subject to approval of the Organising Committee. Note that playing of instruments will NOT be taken into account for judging.
Q:Do I have to bring my own CD if I wish to sing with music?
A:Yes. If contestants wish to sing with music for the audition, they are required to provide their own minus-one/KTV CD/VCDs. Any other music sources are subjected to the availability of equipment.
Q:Is there a maximum number of members for Vocal Groups?
A:Yes. Each group should consist of 2 to 5 vocalists only.
Q:Can I join more than one Vocal Group in this competition?
A:No. Each participant is only allowed to form one group.
Q:Can I compose in any languages?
A:No. All compositions are to be in English or Chinese.
Q:Is there a theme to follow for the composition?
A:No. We welcome contestants to pen any song of any theme.
However, the Organising Committee reserves the right to reject any song deemed unsuitable for the competition.
Q:Can the music composer and the lyricist be different people?
A:Yes.
Q:Can I send in more than one composition?
A:Yes. Contestants can send multiple entries but only one may be selected for the Grand Finals.
Q:How do I send in my composition?
A:Entry song(s) are to be submitted together with the lyrics, within two weeks after the registration deadline, through either of the following means.

Q:Is there a maximum number of members for Dance Groups?
A:Yes. Each street dance group should consist of 2 to 8 members only.
Q:Can I dance any styles I like?
A:No. Dance styles allowed include New School Hip Hop, Old School Hip Hop, Popping, Locking, Soul, B-boying, Krumping, Wacking and Punking. Do note that this list is not exhaustive. If your particular dance genre is not stated above, please contact our Liaison officers.
Q:How long should the performance during Heats be?
A:The performance should NOT take more than 2 minutes for Heats.
