Rules & Regulations(Original Composition)
THE FOLLOWING RULES AND REGULATIONS ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE OR MODIFICATION AT ANY TIME BY THE ORGANISING COMMITTEE WITH OR WITHOUT PRIOR NOTICE.
- All compositions are to be in English or Chinese.
- The composer and lyricist need not be the same person and contestants can submit individual or group entries. For submission of group entry, contestants would need to indicate a representative of the group.
- The competition only admits compositions that have NOT been published and officially performed.
- The music and lyrics of each entry song must be original and must NOT infringe any copyrights of any third party. In any event, the entry song should not have been published, broadcast, made available to the public or performed in public in any form (including but not limited to radio, television, internet or recorded on disc, film, tape or other electronic and mechanical means) at any time before the Grand Finals.
- Each entrant agrees that the publishing company has the rights to rearrange the composition and determine the singer(s) to perform the entry song at the Semi-Finals and Grand Finals as well as for the purpose of recording the entry song for inclusion in an album.
- All compositions that have entered into Grand Final will be signed to Touch Music Publishing Pte. Ltd. as Original Publisher. The copyright of the songs will still belong to the song-writer. Impresario reserves the rights to use the songs for the releasing of memorial album(s) and other publicity purposes.
- To protect song writers’ rights, if the song is not selected for the Grand Finals, the copyrights vested shall be reverted to the entrant upon completion of the selection process.
- Contestants are allowed to pen any song of any theme. However, the Organizing Committee reserves the right to reject any song deemed unsuitable for the competition.
- Contestants can send multiple entries but only one may be selected for the Grand Finals.
- A registration fee of S$12 is applicable per entry for this category.
- Entry song(s) are to be submitted together with the lyrics, within two weeks after the registration deadline, through either of the following means.
- Submission by mail.
The lyrics and the entry song(s) in CD or MD form , are to be sent to the following:

- To successfully complete the entry, registration fee has to be paid.
- Closing date of registration is 27 November 2009.
